FALL and the country

I have never been a big fan of Fall, but this year, the changing of the leaves has amazed me! This is a pic of the street that leads to our house. It has been amazingly beautiful this year! I hate to see all of the leaves fall!

More traditions

As most of you know, our family takes a few trips to the beach each year! Here are some pics from our last trip during fall break. Lots of FUN!!! We didn't get dressed up and go out at all...It was great!!!!

AU Football is here!!

Although I WAS an Alabama fan, over the past few years I have come to love AU football. For me it's not the football game at all! However, when I do get to go to the games, I do enjoy it!! For me its a tradition that our kids have come to LOVE, , it is seeing the look on Meme and Papa Joe's face when the kids are singing the fight song, its hoping that our kids will one day go there to school, but most of all, it is special memories that we make as a family! I hope and pray that this tradition will continue forever and that each family has a tradition that they enjoy as much as I do this one!!! War Eagle!!!

Enough Already!

For those of you who have not had this horrible stomach bug, THANK GOD!!! No, I really mean it, You need to Thank God right now!! It started with Garrett last Sunday night, he was so pitiful. Throwing up about every 30 minutes all night long. He was better Tuesday. Tuesday night, Chaney Grace started, and was sick ALL night long. She was better by Thursday. We make it through the weekend and I am thinking, wow, how did I miss that! Guess who wakes up at 3:00 last night! Yep, you guessed it. It was worse than I even imgined! So now that I am feeling better, I hope that all of you pass right by this bug!!!! IT Stinks!!!!

BUDGETS

Budget, so we all have one whether we stick to it or not! When we begin building our house we had good intentions of staying UNDER budget! HAHAHAHa, I guess that never happens does it? Our first step (ground prep) was 13,000.00 more than expected since Allan decided to move the world. So from the word GO, the budget was shot. However, we thought 25,000.00 extra should cover all of our underestimated costs, including the basement (that I wanted... Safety first)!! Over the last week, I was becoming a bit (okay A LOT) stressed out about the BUDGET. We did not need 25,000....more like 45,000. So my furniture, curtains, blinds, everything was not going to happen. Then as I drive down the road and examine the checkbook, guess what! I had somehow made 20,000 dollar mistake. YAY!!! Man, I wish I would make more mistakes like that!! Remember, its always good to double check your calculations!

Garrett was supposed to be sleeping....one day I opened his door and he said "I'm working like mommy" I wonder if he thinks that's all there is to work?. The NEXT day, I opened his door and was scared to death. I thought he had blood all over him. I was happily suprised when he siad I paint mommy! You can't help but love this little fellow!

Allan , Chaney Grace and Garrett getting our house ready to sell!! Hope is sells quickly, I am sooo ready for the new house! Not sure who is happier!

An updated picture of the house. It is really starting to take shape. I had forgotten how exciting it is to build a house. The kids love going there to play. We actually went last Saturday night and built a campfire complete with roasting marsh mellows and hot dogs!!

Harmony Safari

I took the kids to the Harmony Safari in Huntsville today. You drive your car through the park and the animals come up to the car wanting to be fed. The Zebra stayed planted on my window most of the time. He walked alongside the car with his face stuck to the window. It was so funny. I finally got rid of him and Chaney Grace came out from under the seat. Garrett loved the entire ride and did not want to leave. Days like this make me proud to be a stay at home mom and thankful that God gave me these precious kids!!!

Updates on the house! Chaney Grace loves climbing around like a monkey! Garrett is not interested in the house, just the dirt. Everyday, he gets his tractor and says lets go to the land and move dirt.

God's Country

The boys aren't doing so well this year so far but it still was fun taking the kids to the Plains! They really enjoyed AU - I guess it's in their blood! War Eagle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We're building!!!!!!!!!!!

We finally got started on the house. It's moving slow but hey, it's moving! The kids really enjoy watching the house being built (and the surrounding dirt even more!). Anyway, here's a pic or two. We'll try to update the pictures as the house progresses.

Everyone - sorry to not have posted anything recently! We're all doing well - Chaney Grace is about to be 4, Garrett is now scaring folks left and right jumping off the diving board and is about to be 3, Leslie is half way through her 2nd class of ISR kids and I'm nearly 8 months into my Production Manager position at Daikin. Below are more pics of the kids and our trip to North Carolina a while back. Enjoy!

SuperStar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Leslie made the front page of the Living Today section of the Decatur Daily today. We've already got a # of calls and emails from people interested in ISR. It's great for business and for these kids.

Oh, and by the way, Garrett was the star of the article, sporting his floating skills for the camera.
